The best gift…

Discipline is a gift, not a punishment.

Father, I thank You for the gift of discipline! You discipline those You love! Which means discipline is an expression of love, and is, therefore, in itself, evidence of love.

Your “parameters” are there to bring out the best in me. I see your love. You’re not just using “discipline, correction or chastening” as a scapegoat to “get your way” with me through fear, force or obligation. Your Love is what has produced the discipline You yourself live in everyday. And it’s the source that established Your parameters for me.

It is therefore of much greater value and benefit, to take these parameters upon myself and implement them as my own disciplines! Self Discipline.

It is one thing for someone who loves you to “discipline you”. But it more powerful when you take it upon yourself to discipline yourself at the same level because you want to!

The greatest gift I could ever give myself is the capacity to implement self discipline of perspective and daily practice, as an expression of the love I have for the best in Me!

Thank You
